March 19th, going home day.

Hooray we finally got to go home. Delaney first ride in the carseat.

March 18, Happy Birthday cousin Alexis.

On the 18th we tried to go home, but unfortunately due to the fact that I had a postpartum hemmorage, and felt extremely terrible and my blood count dropped, we stayed another day( of course that would happen, the nurse/curse). Here are a few more photos....

And the winner is... Delaney

After starting contractions early Sunday morning (the 15th) around 2am, with only a brief morning nap for Chris and Andrea, Andrea's water broke at around 9am. After a shower and a light breakfast we made our way into the hospital. We arrived at the hospital around 10:30 and after a brief evaluation and a visit with Andrea's coworkers, rupture of membranes was confirmed. We were excited that we were soon to meet baby Mullin, however little did we know that soon would be almost 33 hrs later. Although the labor was extremely long, Andrea only pushed for a little less than 30mins. Delaney Marie Mullin was born March 16 at 7:09pm to very proud but tired parents. To mom's relief the doctor's weight estimate was way off, apparently mom just had alot of fluid. The little piglet, as mom and dad like to call her weighed in at 6lbs 14.8 oz.

Here we go day two

Well we are into day two of labor. Doc says we should be rolling by noonish. Its 8 now so we are counting down.

Here We Go

Well folks, we are officially counting down. It is about 4pm right now. By this time tomorrow we will know. The doc says it could happen by about 6am. We shall see. The hospital has horrible internet so no pictures but I will keep everyone as up to date as possible.

Three more weeks.. Seriously?

Although Andrea may feel ready to deliver.... the baby doesn't necessarily agree. Apparently he or she likes the home it has. As of yesterdays Doctor visit Andrea was 37.3 weeks... and her body is not quite ready to deliver even if her mind is. After much talk... the decision was made that unless he or she is over 9lbs or unless the situation is more favorable... we will have to wait on induction of labor or pray that Andrea goes into labor on her own. After getting over the initial disappointment, the labor and delivery RN in her... knows that it is the right decision. We were also reassured that the longest they will wait to induce is the 30th or 31st... and that the situation can change with each weekly appointment.... so the finish line is in sight. We however, are still praying for a March baby... afterall not only did we get married in March but our first date was in March as well.

Ahh... Cankles... the photo of the month.

With 37 weeks approaching tommorow we thought we would share with you the photo of the month. Cankles(or Fred Flinstone feet as Chris calls them) ... And believe it or not, this was a good day. Just another reason I cannot wait to deliver. Thank God, I have a wondeful husband who has become an expert in foot rubs.

Seriously, whose feet are these.. can they really be mine, yikes.

Nursery

This past weekend with the wonderful help of my mother inlaw(MaryAnn) and sister inlaw(Kelly) we were able to get the nursery pretty much organized and decorated. All except the curtains, which MaryAnn has wonderfully agreed to make. We thought we would include some photos for you to take a peak.
